HDPE PIPE CUTTING

The Grace chip-free cutter is designed for HDPE pipe production where clean pipe ends, dependable automation and efficient changeovers matter. Its single-blade, servo-controlled design supports stable cutting across a wide range of pipe dimensions without creating chips that require downstream clean-up.

Final cutter selection must be verified against PE grade, outside diameter, actual wall thickness, line speed, cut length, end-face tolerance, clamping method, support arrangement and control interface. Special wall-thickness designs are not presented as standard capability.

Premium Cutting Blade
A single-blade cutting concept is designed for clean, square pipe ends without chips or burrs. Precision blade manufacture supports consistent cut quality across a broad range of HDPE pipe sizes while simplifying routine blade service.
Servo-Controlled Cutting
The servo drive coordinates cutting motion with line conditions for stable, repeatable operation. Parameters can be adjusted for pipe thickness and process conditions, helping the cutter maintain accuracy without the complexity of a hydraulic system.
Operator-Friendly Control
Stored operating programs and a clear touchscreen interface shorten changeover work. Operators select the required pipe specification, monitor the cutting cycle and keep production moving with less manual setting and less opportunity for set-up error.
Automatic Pipe Support
Infeed and outfeed supports are positioned through the control system once the production specification is selected. This keeps the pipe properly supported at the cutting point, protects the blade and improves consistency during specification changes.
Short-Length Cutting Capability
The cutter can be configured for short HDPE pipe sections from 100 mm, supporting test samples, fitting preparation and controlled scrap recovery. It extends the value of one cutting station without interrupting the main extrusion workflow.
